Blog Intros That Grab People’s Attention

5th December 2014 | Leigh Brown | Social Media

We’ve all been told that having a blog and creating good unique content is a great way of improving your site’s SEO (search engine optimisation). However the idea of having blogs is for people to read them and if your first paragraph doesn’t grab them then you might have wasted a lot of time in writing the rest of the content. Try a few of the helpful tips below to help grab people’s attention:

Surprise People

Use the first paragraph to surprise your audience and intrigue them into wanting to read more. With there being so much dentistry news, surprising topics and research findings are bound to be available for you to write some blogs on.

Use Statistics

Along the same lines as surprising people, having statistics that make people think – “Really, is that true?” can make people want to read more about that statistic.

Make Them Laugh

Using a funny image or piece of text  is an effective way of drawing attention to your blog. If you are finding it difficult to find any funny images or to write a piece of funny content, there are plenty of dental related memes available to make good use of.
