Your Google My Business listing is one of the most important online assets. When a user searches for your business they are able to see your reviews, photos, location and posts.
Recently, Google announced that they are introducing a new way for users to keep up to date with the news about local businesses.
Within the Google Maps app, users will be able to follow businesses to receive all the latest information about that business from events to offers within the apps’ “For You” tab.
Google will only be rolling this out for Android users to begin with but they will most likely update the iOS app with this feature at some point.
Google also announced that they will be allowing new businesses to create a profile that will appear to people 3 months in advance of opening.
The opening date will appear in orange on the profile.
So, if you are interested in creating some initial buzz for your new practice then I would highly recommend creating a Google My Business profile as soon as you can.
